SHASTA COLLEGE FINISHES 10TH AT NORCAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Meeder, Leedy lead the way for Knights
SALINAS, Calif. – Shasta College's men's cross-country team finished 10th at the Northern California Championships at Hartnell College in Salinas on Friday.
The Knights scored 255 points with five runners finishing in the top 90, including two in the top 25, for a total time of 1 hour, 55 minutes, 44 seconds. Shasta had an average time of 22:56 for the 4-mile course.
Hartnell College won the meet with 44 points. Butte was the only other Golden Valley Conference team competing and finished 11th with 267 points.
Shasta freshman Chris Meeder was 15th overall in 21:14.9 for a 5:18.18 average mile. Sophomore Donald Leedy was 25th in 21:42.4 and sophomore Samuel Grafe was 48th (22:34.4). Freshman Benjamin Mueller was 83rd (24:17.7) and freshman Andrew Fuentes was 88th (24:55.5).
Freshman Blaine Haris also competed, finishing 92nd (25:40.3).
