REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College sophomore Haley Moebes continues to tear it up on the pitch, scoring three goals in the Knights' two Golden Valley Conference road victories last week.

Moebes, who is second on the team with eight goals on the season, scored twice in the 3-1 win at Feather River College and once more in the 4-1 win over Lassen College.

Despite Feather River striking first, Moebes assisted sophomore Rylie Pinnell for the match-tying goal in the 30th minute. Moebes scored the final two goals, both in the second half, for Shasta (7-3, 2-1 GVC) to earn its first GVC win of the year.

Pinnell had two saves in goal for the Knights while freshman Paige Reed had three saves and allowed the one goal.

All five goals in the Lassen game came in the second half. Again, the opponent started the scoring, this time with a penalty kick.

But Shasta answered with four goals from four different players in a 25-minute span. Sophomore Taylor Pinnell scored an unassisted goal, Maite Silva-Bradley set up Moebes for a goal five minutes later, freshman Sierra Brenner scored and Moebes assisted Reed for the finishing touches.

Knights' sophomore goalkeeper Alexandra Erickson had saves and gave up a goal, and Reed had two saves.

Shasta College plays at first-place Lake Tahoe College Friday before returning home to play Butte College with a 2 p.m. kickoff.
