Bio

Coach Stacy Mizuta has been the head coach since the 2020-2021season.  Before that, she assisted former Northern California Coach of the Year, Jerry Brown, for 10 years.  Stacy is a graduate of North Valley Christian High School.  She played basketball here at Shasta College where she earned a spot on the All-Conference team. Stacy was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1996.  Before coming to Shasta, she coached volleyball, basketball, and softball at North Valley Christian School for 6 years, receiving “Coach of the Year” honor in 3 of those 6 years. 

Coach Mizuta resides in Redding with her husband Eli and has five children.  Their eldest son, Kalani, is married and living in Redding.  Their 2^nd oldest son, Keanu, played baseball here at Shasta 2019-2023, earning All-Conference honors and was named “Athlete of the Year” in 2023.  He finished up his career at Oregon Tech on an athletic scholarship and will be graduating with a degree in Cyber Security.  Their oldest daughter, Kaleia, played basketball here at Shasta 2021-2023 and earned All-Freshman and All-Conference honors.  She now resides in Arizona.  Their 3^rd son, Kekoa, attended Shasta for 2 years and is now in New Mexico working on his engineering degree.  Their 5^th, and youngest, Kamalia, is in her Senior year at Redding Christian High School and plans on attending Shasta College where she is looking forward to earning a spot on the volleyball team.
