Bio

Kathy Crawford brings nearly 10 years of Div-1 NCAA, community college, and high school coaching experience to the Knights. A Redding native, Kathy swam for and coached the Stanford Cardinal under Olympic Coach George Haines, specializing in butterfly, breaststroke, and the individual medley. Her long-time motto is “Swim for life,” which began for her as a member of the Redding Swim Team at age 7. Locally, Crawford led the West Valley HS women’s swim team to an undefeated season and 2023 League championship.

Her favorite pastimes are fishing, swimming, cycling, and professional disc golf, ranking as high as 1st in mixed doubles and 6th in singles globally. Kathy earned a master’s degree in education at Stanford University and holds a bilingual teaching credential in Japanese.
