Bio

A former Knight himself, Andrew Fitzhugh returns to the Shasta College men’s basketball program as an assistant coach, bringing his experience and strong connection to the program full circle. A Redding native, Fitzhugh played for the Knights from 2013 to 2015 under his father, Head Coach Kele Fitzhugh, before transferring to California State University Maritime Academy (Cal Maritime). At Cal Maritime, he continued his college basketball career under Head Coach Bryan Rooney—now the head coach at Cal State East Bay—while earning his bachelor’s degree in International Business and Logistics. During his time with the Keelhaulers, the team won a Cal Pac Conference Championship and made an appearance in the NAIA National Tournament.

After completing his college career, Fitzhugh earned a Master of Business Administration in Business Analytics from Southern Oregon University. He has worked at Shasta College since 2021, supporting regional education and workforce development initiatives. In his free time, Andrew enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
