REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College’s men’s basketball team lost both games at the Gavilan College Classic, falling to Cabrillo 100-76 and to host Gavilan 87-63.

The Knights trailed by five at halftime but was outscored 58-39 in the second half. Shasta made 12 3-pointers in the game and shot 40 percent from beyond the arc but Cabrillo shot 58 percent from the floor on the night. Carson Kingston scored a team-high 13 points, Josiah Palumbo and Josiah Hutt each scored 12 points and Diante Rush contributed 10 points off the bench. All 11 Shasta players scored in the game. Kameron Morphew had a team-high nine rebounds.
Gavilan 87, Shasta 63
The Knights trailed 43-24 at halftime and were outscored by five in the second half. The individual stats were not available.
