The Shasta College beach volleyball team continued its early-season campaign with dual matches against College of the Siskiyous and Feather River College on March 4. The Knights demonstrated steady improvement throughout the day, showing growth, determination, and teamwork as they build the program's foundation for future success.
Against Siskiyous, the No. 1 pair of DiMaggio/Vaughn earned a strong straight-set win over Speasl/Moala (21-17, 21-11) to lead the Knights. The remaining matchups were competitive throughout, with Siskiyous taking the other four contests: Wado/Graviet def. Gunn/Wallace (21-13, 21-16), Paursch/Brown def. Lynn/Azbill (21-14, 21-11), Brooks/Smith def. Elam/Burawski (21-12, 21-10), and Hansen/Rowe def. Mason/Rickert (21-17, 21-17).
In the afternoon session, the Knights faced a well-balanced Feather River squad. Despite the challenging matchups, Shasta continued to gain valuable experience and maintained a competitive spirit. FRC Gibbs/Rivera defeated Vaughn/DiMaggio (21-10, 21-11); FRC Albiez/Arment topped Wallace/Gunn (21-15, 21-7); FRC Nussle/Curtis bested Lynn/Azbill (21-8, 21-15); FRC Manu/Garr defeated Burawski/Elam (21-8, 21-9); and FRC Burrows/Beaman earned the win over Mason/Rickert (21-7, 21-9).
Though results didn't favor the Knights on the scoreboard, each pairing showed growth, chemistry, and resilience—clear signs that the team is on a promising trajectory for the season ahead.
